Haere mai – Koraunui School joins WETAP!

Koraunui School in Stokes Valley is the latest school to join the WETAP whānau, and our team just couldn't be happier!

From Term 3 this year, Koraunui kids will be able to join the Woolies Knitting Club, with the hope to introduce some of WETAP's other successful programs to the school thereafter.

The partnership comes after a Koraunui teacher reached out to WETAP's offer to expand the Woolies programme into a new school this term. Mandy Evett, Trustee, said Koraunui is yet another exciting expansion of the arts empowerment programme. "We're super excited to have Koraunui School on board," she said, "and we're thrilled our first programme there will be Woollies. The Woollies Knitting Club is one of our most engaged-with programmes, promoting tautōhito (skills) such as patience, attention to detail, and workmanship."

Applications for Term 3 programmes can be found here.
